So Mark – Why The Flame Ringed Scorpion?

Well I’m glad you asked. As you know from previous posts Ayden is Gaelic for “Little Fire”. Well Ayden was born on Nov 13th. Which makes him a Scorpio in the Zodiac. Hey Lindsay.. what’s your favorite number..? “8!!!!” she replies.. well Scorpio is the 8th sign in the zodiac. Here’s a little information about Scorpio’s. Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill because they pissed me off. (Anonymous) hmmm should I be worried.. this quote was above an article about Scorpio’s…? Being a water sign, Scorpio is considered highly passionate, imaginative, determined, persevering,...

He's got good Gas!!!

I am free!!! Today I was discharged from the hospital. I called Mark and said…COME AND GET ME…NOW!!!! just before 10am. As he was driving to Hamilton, I packed up my room and then I went down to visit Ayden. well, our little boy is in great shape today. as of 4:00 am the breathing tube has been removed and he is on something called cpap. Cpap is an oxygen machine that is put into your nose and feeds you oxygen. He is doing all the breathing on his own right now, his little chest is rising up and down with each breath. He was also doing the shoulder twist for me this morning too, moving around and really active. Mark arrived at about 11am and we emptied my room, took all of the stuff down to the car and then we went to see Ayden together. They were...

Feeling GREAT!!!

So as you can tell from my last post, November 13th was quite a busy and exhausting day.  Today however I feel wonderful.  I have my energy back and feel like celebrating! I am happy that Ayden is in the place he needs to be for the proper care.  I am going to have a shower this morning as well which I bet will feel wonderful. They (being the hospital) also has me pumping every 3 hours right now. They want to try to give Ayden whatever it is that I can pump as there are lots of anti-bodies in breast milk. At first when I did it, kinda felt like a cow being milked…LOL…but now it is rather relaxing. I didn’t even mind getting up last night to pump even though I was so tired, as I knew that this is to help Ayden along. I wish that I could leave the...

What a crazy day….

Okay, so I have written little bits of information during the day, but here is the whole story (or as much as I can remember) Last night at about 8:15ish, the nurse came in as they do every night to check my pulse, blood pressure, temperature and the baby’s heart beat. The baby’s heart beat is normally between 156-166 beats per minute. My pulse was normal (well at least for me anyways) sitting at 127 and my blood pressure was great. We then monitored the babies heart rate and it was showing 182 beats per minute. As this was kind of fast, the nurse said she was going to check up in about a half an hour and do the beats again. Low and behold when we did the next check, the beats were still high at 177 beats per minute. The nurse call the triage area and...
