Well good evening little fella, You can’t understand me right this moment as your currently only 19inches long and sitting in front of me in your mothers arms as she finishes feeding you at ooh it’s about 3am, but you started feeding about 20mins ago. Lots of things have been going on in your life. I’ll try and point form it for ease of reading. You got your first real major rash thing. The creases in the skin where your legs meet your torso got really red and started to split. Same with under yer yoohoo 😉 but we noticed it right away and now a few days later it’s all cleared up and your all happy. You’ve been very very fussy… and by that I mean.. you’ll sit quietly with mom or I and then suddenly boom crying...

KidsAbility Check Up

Yesterday which was the 25th of March, was our first meeting at the KidsAbility center. Here we brought in Ayden and they had a physiotherapist, a pediatrician, a language/speech specialist, and an occupational therapist all present to examine our little guy. The room we met in had a mat in the center with a few toys. Then each specialist sat around the mat and they took turns handling him. First the physiotherapist who said he had no limited motion or movement. He would take the weight of his body on his legs briefly as any child his age might, he was able to lift his head for short durations when on his tummy. Able to move his arms and legs in unison and was able to kick and stretch normally. The Occupational Therapist noted that he was able to grip and hold...

New Pics of Ayden

Junebug thought that if she had on a bib she could get some milk too… Silly kitty milk is for Ayden. I really really wished that – somehow that would match up like the commercials.. ah well. spoof fail. Waiting for his milk Ayden decides to start to eat his hand… after all what’s that thing for anyway? Relaxing in a nice warm bath, thanks to Auntie Tory for lending us this micro bath for him. With the little seat we don’t have to try and hold a slippery wet baby – that doesn’t want to be held… and really just wants some milk. Hmm which hand should I eat first… decisions decisions

Nicole – Made Ayden A Hat

And that’s all I’m gonna say about that. Well that and it’s an Awesome Hat!

Snug as a Bug – the Best policy!

Well it would seem that Mom here has learned a new ability! – tonight was one of those especially fussy nights, but rather than let Ayden get the best of her she put the moves on him and found this new hold where he can’t move at all.. she pins him against her in such a way that since he couldn’t move he passed out. Now at 2am feed she used it again to calm him while I gathered all his food together.. and he almost passed out again. I’ve done some reading up on this and babies like to be super snug as apparently it reminds them of being in the womb. He seems quiet calm after his little “super snuggle” . Health Watch Mom is off her antibiotics now and more or less just has a cold. Sinus congestion and runny nose sorta thing. I...

Whats With Mom’s and Cheeks Anyway?

Little Ayden asleep….ahhh…

Well, little Ayden is all asleep in his car seat right now. Today we had a visit with the social worker from a service in waterloo called KidsAbility. They are a growth and development center that will monitor Ayden’s progress as he grows. Very cool!!!  and it’s free!!! even better! Then Grampy, Grammy, Ayden and I went for a walk to Teddy’s bakery here in Baden for lunch. Ayden loves his car seat so much that he slept all through the walk and the lunch, which was kinda nice as it allowed for me to eat a nice hot lunch with my dad and mom.  🙂  Thanks Ayden!!!! As for me, my antibiotics are done now, but my cold has now moved to a sinus cold…ick…but at least I can take some over the counter meds for that.  🙂 It’s been so nice...
