rolling issue…

So now that Ayden has learned how to roll over there is no stopping the little guy.  Each time you put him on the floor he rolls over onto his tummy. The issue right now is that when he rolls over onto his tummy this puts pressure on his tummy and he ends up spitting up!  (Ayden is not really a spit up baby so this is very strange to us). I even waited at least an hour before lying him down on his back, but when he rolled over and was on his tummy he spit up….very strange….I don’t know how to deal with this issue…..any thoughts?

connecting

Today was a big day for Ayden as you might tell with all the posts that have been updated. Another thing happened today that just brought tears to my eyes. I work very hard to keep Ayden happy, fed, changed, I put him to sleep, I do everything for him as he’s not able to do anything himself.  Sometimes it feels like you give give give and he does not even know that it’s mommy doing it. Well today Ayden rolled over for the first time and then I gave him a bottle. After his bottle we usually sit and play for a bit so the formula has some time to digest and not come back up…but today was a bit different. Ayden just stared at me. He had a smile on his face and just his eyes said to me that he knew who I was. That was the payback that I...

Smiles and Laughs and babbles…

Ayden LOVES to smile and laugh. For the past month or so you had to tickle him or raspberry his belly to get a laugh out, but now Ayden laughs if you make funny faces and sounds at him!!!!  Just watch out tho cause the laugher is also coupled with drool!!!!  LOL Babbling is also one of Ayden’s past times. He will babble to pretty much anything that is close to him…a toy, mommy or daddy, or even just his hands!

For Old Time Sake…

So, when you child starts to sleep from 8:30pm or 9 till around 6am or 7 even 8 some days for like 2 or 3 months, it’s easy to adapt to it. But tonight Ayden decided for ‘old time sake’ that he’d wake up in the middle of the night… so it’s 3am ooh now it’s 4am.. that’ll make for a fun day tomorrow.. luckily Wed is Canada day and a holiday.. ya what’s with that in the middle of the week – weird. In any event I made him a bottle like it’s my job to do – Mom entertained him and then is now feeding him. So I think we’ll be alright… he’s not screaming or fussing – he just woke up. The importance of the burrito… We wrap Ayden very snuggly in his blankets, as...

First Swim

Ayden had his first swim at Oma & Opa’s house. We’re pretty sure that he enjoyed it. The Ring is OFF!

This is just a quick post to let people know that the RING is off. perhaps a back story is in order… when they circumcised Ayden they well not to get to graphic.. they pull the skin way back… hold it on the end of this ‘Y’ shaped plastic holder and then slice down the middle.. then they wrap this skin around a tiny piece of plastic. this plastic bit as I am to understand cuts the circulation off to the skin wrapped around it and when the skin dies off.. the ring falls off.  Kinda like how the belly button is formed. So every night for a week and a bit we had to give Ayden a bath, normally it’s every other night. We also had to put Vaseline on it so it wouldn’t stick to the diaper. But now it’s off and healed up nicely....
