5 months past your due date

Well Ayden, you are now 5 months (on July 25, 2009) past the date that you would have been born if everything went okay with mommy carrying you. We celebrated yesterday by buying you a new toy! You are certainly changing. You are getting bigger. Your longer now and heavier too. I don’t know how much you weigh right now as we don’t go to the doctors for a while, but I can just tell you are growing. You are also starting to become really really interested in what mom and dad are eating. Soon we will start to give you some rice cereal and then a whole new world opens. You are also really starting to teeth now. Nothing is showing through yet, but you are biting on everything that you can get your hands on…you are also a drool machine. Sometimes you...

Ayden's Baptism!

Well today marks a big step in Ayden’s life. Today, Sunday July 19, 2009  Ayden was Baptised at Calvin Presbyterian Church in Kitchener. This is the same church that Mark and I were married at! We had such a wonderful service filled with friends and family. Ayden was extremly well behaved during the service. When he was in Minister Mark’s arms being baptised he just stared at Minister Mark with such caring and curious eyes. There was a part in the prayer that really stuck out in my mind…when the Minister was holding Ayden, he said something to the effect of…we are so blessed to have you here with us. Since all that Ayden and our family has been though, this brought a tear to my eye. Mark and I spent the last two days getting ready for this...

strong eyes

Well yesterday Ayden and I had to go back to hamilton for another eye appointment. The last appointments have been aweful as Ayden had to be restrained and things were stuck in his eyes to make sure that growth was happening properly. This eye appointment however was the fasted appointment we have ever had. They were checking for muscle development in his eyes. I got to the clinic and they called us in right away. The doctor took a green frog squeeky toy and moved it around the room to make sure that Ayden was tracking, which he did rahter well. Then she turned off the light in the room and looked in Ayden’s eyes with a bright light. She turned back on the lights and said, he is doing just great. Muscles are developing properly, see you in 6 months. I was...

tummy issue

Well I think we got down to the bottom of the tummy issue from Saturday. We gave Ayden a suppossitory with the thought that if he was backed up the formula had no where else to go but up and out. It seems to have worked as no throwup or spit up yesterday or today!!!

spitting and throwing up…

So today was a very strange day. Ayden woke up early…like 6 am when normally he sleeps until 8ish. I fed him and after that he kept spitting up…but then it went into a almost throw up…Mark managed to put him to sleep for a while (for the first time I might add!!!  GO dad!!!). When Ayden woke up, he spit up again and again. After a bit of time, he got hungry as his tummy was empty so again I fed him, but right after wards he spit up all his food. Mark and I could not figure it out…I think we both went through like 4 tee shirts between the both of us…bibs like crazy and also washcloths…. We went out this afternoon and Ayden was good, no real spit up happenings, but then we brought him home and low and behold he started to throw...
