Ayden's First… Popcicle!!!!
Now, I know what your saying.. isn’t it bad to give a young child of Ayden’s age anything but formula as he can get allergies or even rot the teeth that are deep within his gums? But I’ve been trying to give Ayden all manner of “grown-up” food unsuccessfully, shot down by Mom – for Ayden’s well being of course. But tonight I come home to see mom eating a green Popsicle and after our ‘welcome homes’ she walks over to Ayden and says well think he’d like some of this.. and touches his tongue with the Popsicle! Now I’ll admit the little tike just loved it and I wish I had some of the stellar faces he made on film. He would smile and then stick his tongue out again – and again and again…...
tummy issue
Well I think we got down to the bottom of the tummy issue from Saturday. We gave Ayden a suppossitory with the thought that if he was backed up the formula had no where else to go but up and out. It seems to have worked as no throwup or spit up yesterday or today!!!
spitting and throwing up…
So today was a very strange day. Ayden woke up early…like 6 am when normally he sleeps until 8ish. I fed him and after that he kept spitting up…but then it went into a almost throw up…Mark managed to put him to sleep for a while (for the first time I might add!!! GO dad!!!). When Ayden woke up, he spit up again and again. After a bit of time, he got hungry as his tummy was empty so again I fed him, but right after wards he spit up all his food. Mark and I could not figure it out…I think we both went through like 4 tee shirts between the both of us…bibs like crazy and also washcloths…. We went out this afternoon and Ayden was good, no real spit up happenings, but then we brought him home and low and behold he started to throw...
rolling issue…
So now that Ayden has learned how to roll over there is no stopping the little guy. Each time you put him on the floor he rolls over onto his tummy. The issue right now is that when he rolls over onto his tummy this puts pressure on his tummy and he ends up spitting up! (Ayden is not really a spit up baby so this is very strange to us). I even waited at least an hour before lying him down on his back, but when he rolled over and was on his tummy he spit up….very strange….I don’t know how to deal with this issue…..any thoughts?
