a few good and crazy days

Well little one, you have had quite a crazy few up and down days. Friday night (July 24th, 2009) was a really really hard nite. You and I had a good day, but around 4pm for some reason you started to cry….and this was not a whiny cry, this was a full out scream cry where you are in some sort of pain but mommy can’t figure out whats wrong. To top it all off, daddy was working late and did not get home until after 8pm. Mommy managed to give you a bath all by herself and I tried my best to calm you down but nothing worked. I rocked you, I bounced you, I swaddled you, I hugged you, I put you on the floor, I put you in your swing…I did everything I could think of to make you comfortable, but none of it worked. finally when daddy came home, he managed to calm you down enough that I was able to get to sleep.   Saturday night and sunday night was pretty much the same. You were fine and happy all day long, but as soon as the evening hit, you started to scream at the top of your lungs. This got your dad and I concerned…so on monday we went to see the doctor. he checked you over and said that your ears, lungs, and throat were all healthy and he thinks you might have a bit of colic or are teething (although he did not see any teeth coming through yet).  It made mommy and daddy feel better to know that you were healthy.

Tuesday you and mommy had a wonderful day..Grampy visited us too. there was plenty of laughs and giggles from both of us. You had your naps during the day and boy did you sleep.  You played hard with Grampy and got all tired out. You slept really well that night!

Wednesday you and mommy had another wonderful day. you played in your jolly jumper, played on the floor, was in your swing, stood on mommy’s tummy too. You were such a happy baby today!  When daddy came home from work you played with him too. You went to sleep at about 8:30ish in the evening and slept the whole night – thank you!!!!

Today is Thursday July 30th. Today you learned how to roll over using your right side. Normally when you roll from  your back to your tummy you use your left side to roll over, but today you rolled twice on your right side. I can tell it’s still very hard for you to roll this way as you get a little upset when you can’t do it, but mommy is always here and when you get upset I will help you!  As soon as you did this, we called daddy at work to tell him!  We also took some pictures of you in a red outfit…it was so cute!  Right now you are having your afternoon nap, your a bit restless right now but you seem content.

One thing that mommy always does when you wake from your nap is when I go to get you from your room and we are walking down the stairs I always stop a few stairs down and look at you and say “boo”. This always gets a smile on your face!!!  I do the same a few more stairs down until we reach the bottom. Then when we are at the bottom of the stairs, we stop at the front hall mirror to take a look. Today when I got you from your morning nap and we looked in the mirror, you giggled at yourself!!!  it was so cute.

You are starting to get more interested in the cats, more specifically Junebug. You watch her with such wide eyes. You don’t really know what she is and she does not know what you are….yet….Junebug keeps her distance from you, but soon you will crawl after her…watch out junebug!!!

Well, mommy should go and eat something while I have a free moment.
