Busy week!
Well little one, it’s been one busy week that we have just had. Wednesday last week we had physio at the house, she is very pleased with how well you are doing! Thursday June 18th was the big day. First of it was daddy’s birthday. You and mommy were so excited about your gift to dad that we had to give it to him on Wednesday nite. You got him the Ghost busters xbox video game and some xbox points….lol…he loved it! Thursday also was your (ouch) Circumcision. Daddy took the morning off of work and we drove to the doctors office in Kitchen to be at the office for 8:30 am. First off they start with putting a cream in your diaper to numb everything. Then the doctor meets with all the parents as there were quite a few there for the same reason and he goes over what is going to happen and he answers any and all questions. Then we wait our turn….You were very talkative that morning, then you had a bottle and fell asleep in mommy’s arms. The nurse then called us for your turn. You were taken with us into a room where you had to be strapped to a bed…you didn’t like that at all…you were give a local for the pain and the procedure was commenced. Daddy and I tried to calm you down and distract you, but you were crying so hard….but then mommy finally put her finger in your mouth and rubbed your gums and you calmed down at the end. Both mommy and daddy had a tear when it was all over. We brought you back to another room where you promptly feel asleep in mommy’s arms again. The doctor came to check on you 10 minutes later and deemed that you were ok to go home. we both walked you out to the car and daddy kissed you on the head and went to work. Mommy brought you home and through your tears and crying managed to get a bottle into you and then put you to sleep for a good 2 hours or so. You also had some motrin to help with the discomfort as well.
Friday daddy took off from work as he was celebrating his birthday! It was so nice to have daddy home. We had a nice day and picked out daddy’s birthday gift from everyone, a gazebo from Home depot. 🙂
Saturday morning we headed off to Church. We want to get you baptized by the church and in turn we are also joining the church too! Saturday morning was our last meeting with the church before we can join and have you baptized. It was a nice relaxing morning!
saturday night we had Grampy and Grammy (My dad and Lyli) over for dinner to celebrate Daddy’s birthday but also to celebrate fathers day. We had burgers, grilled veggies and then lots of desserts!!! berries, cakes, banana bread…yum yum…You had a good visit with Grampy and Grammy!
Sunday morning you gave daddy his first fathers day gift. On June 10th you and mommy created your first picture. It was put into a frame and wrapped up all nice for daddy. He LOVED it!!!! That was a very special gift for daddy!
Sunday morning at 10 we went to Aunt Tory’s house for a fathers day celebration for Grampa Wilhelm! We had eggs and sausages! Yummy…you fell asleep in mommy’s arms!!!
Sunday afternoon daddy put up the gazebo in the backyard and then we headed to Oma and Opa’s for dinner. This was to celebrate father’s day for OPA, but also daddy’s birthday and Aunt TOry’s birthday. You were a bit fussy before we went but by the time we got there, you were much better. I did give you some motrin before we left and I think that helped!
It’s been such a busy week but a fun one!
You know, I was looking at you this morning after I finished feeding you and you are just an amazing little boy. I remember when I was in the hospital trying to hold onto you longer…I remember how you looked when you were first born and how daddy and I worried so much about you and hoped you would make it through. Today you are a strong little boy. You are able to hold your head up, grasp with both hands and you are acting like a “normal” term baby would. You amaze me every day!!! I love you with all my heart Ayden. You are such a special little guy!!!
