Daddy's Update
Hey little fella – firstly I’d like to say it’s 6:32am and your still in bed.. so thanks again for a full nights sleep. That was awesome! I just wanted to drop in here another little update for you on whats going on in your life… as your probably not going to remember. So here goes…
Off the top your mother and I are both very happy that you had a HUGE monster poo last night… your on what appears to be a 4 day schedual so we’re monitoring that. Our research tells us that – that is not a bad thing.. some babies can go like 7 days between poops so there you go. If you would have asked me last year at this time if I would be excited to hear that you had gone poop, I would have stared at you with a blank look like ‘what the heck are you talking about’ but now it’s a big deal because it means that your healthy.. your body is working fine.. and that makes me and your mom happy!
You’ve out grown your bath tub. Every other day you have a bath, I make up the water and get the table and the towels ready and then your Mom washes your front.. massaging your head.. oh you should see the relaxed look on your face.. so content and happy. Then we flip you over and I wash your back… This works good because leaning over a table with a 13 lbs wiggly thing in your hand takes it’s toll on your back. But, after your back is washed I’ll pick you up and dip you in the water repeatedly so it splashes and this makes a very big happy smile go on your face… he he he.
This weekend I put frosting sticker stuff on the front window of the house.. it looks nice and grants us some privacy.. I carefully cut out some of it to look like leaves.
Last week we bought you Elly – a really soft material, that’s square – each corner of the square is knoted so you can chew it and then the one corner has a bright blue elephant head. It was very soft – so I thought you’d like it. Mom got you a LAMAZE alien guy in a flying saucer. Usually what we do is as we go through a store that has cool toys we’ll hang on on your stroller canopy and watch your expression.. some get a reaction and some don’t – I’m a sucker for buying you the ones you like.
Our family has started taking walks together… we walk all over Baden here. And I’m guessing the whole trek is about 3-4 km. it’s a lot of fun and takes over an hour to walk. You usually pass out… Your mom always comments on how cute your cheeks are – because they giggle a bit when we hit a bump.
We visited Grampa and Grandma this weekend, and tonight Grampy and Gramy are coming for dinner – and I’m sure we’ll see Oma and Opa this week too. Oma is itching to babysit you – perhaps she’ll be able to when Transformers 2 comes out – Daddy wants to see that one.. and the theatre might be too loud for little boy ears.
Well I can hear you in the monitor.. and your chatting away – which sounds more like your making car sounds… rrrrrrrr rrrrrrr aaaaaaaaa… you’ll get a word together sooner or later… aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh… your so cute. And very content.. I hope your never lose that. Well I had better put down my computer and go get some milk together for you. Then I can sneak in a morning hug 😀 oh it’s the best feeling in the world when I can pull you up against my chest and wrap you in my arms… – love ya little guy.
