2 Months Gestational!!
This was written on April 25th…
April 25th marks Ayden’s 2 month old mark, gestationally speaking. And what a day it’s been… well actually today itself was pretty great… we enjoyed the summer-like weather, as it was an unseasonal 25 degree’s feeling like 29 with the humidity. We ran some errands in town, picked up a light diffuser for the car window so Ayden doesn’t get direct sun coming in, and got him some sun screen to boot! we had lunch and then headed back home… where Lindsay and Ayden watched me work in the front garden. I took some robaxicet and then tore out some bushes… and cleaned up the garden. We took and old half barrel and buried half of it in the ground and the whole garden is now ready for some colour.. which means flowers!!! Just as we finished a huge!! storm rolled in.. literally! You could see it come in off the farmers field and the winds must have been close to 100KM/hr it was nuts… the rain blew side ways… and then criss crossed. It was nuts.. luckily it blew over fast.. now it’s just raining a lot. This evening the other home owners that connect with our backyard got together and met about fences. In June some time we’d like to all build our fences.. by working together we can save some money.
While I was talking with the other neighbours in the back yard, Lindsay called me into the house. Seems that the little fellow had just finished eating and then started to try to push a bowel movement out…when he did that, he tightened his little tummy and the milk came back up and through his little nose…poor little guy…so we cleaned him up and then Lindsay told me to go back out with the neighbours. By the time I came back into the house, he had filled 3 more diapers!!! See we are moving Ayden onto forumla now as the breast milk is almost gone and the doctor told us that the switch might create some tummy problems…well, he has them!
Then all of a sudden at around 7ish, the power flickered and then went out…we didn’t panick as normally the power is only out for a few minutes and then it comes back on again…but then 8 rolled around, then 9 and still no power. We started to worry a bit as how were we going to heat the milk for Ayden to drink…most of it is frozen…so we called the hydro place and then gave us a ball park of 2am for the power to come back on. As soon as we heard that, we were on the phone with our family making sure that if we couldn’t figure out the heating of the milk that we had a place to go. But low and behold, there was hot water in the water tank so we were able to heat the milk up enough that it was good for him to eat…and then the power came back on at about 11….
But I have to say…we need to invest in a flashlight. All we had in the house were candles….so we will be picking that up sometime soon…
