Birthday… Car Repair… Still Feeding

So as many of you know today is Mommy’s Birthday.. Happy Birthday Lindsay! I took her to Old Navy and let her go nuts and pick out a bunch of outfits.  I know it’s not wrapped but seriously what’s more fun than going around yourself and picking out stuff you want. 😀  So she got some shirts, pants, and a really nice blue dress… wink wink thank you very much if ya know what I mean.. twooot twooo. 😉

Since Ayden’s Birth Lindsay has gone from a size 20 to a size 14 – she’s doing awesome!! and lookin’ mighty fine.. if I do say so.  hmm kinda make yours truly wanna join the club.. but hey I went down a size… thanks to the little guy – he really doesn’t let you sit for very long in any one place. lol

So since it’s her Birthday as any Ontario resident knows – you need that darn sticker on your license plate, so it was off to Canadian Tire for a Drive Clean test. I thought since i was there and was two or three hundred KM over since my last oil change, I’d take care of that too. the guy tells me it’s gonna be like 80 some odd bucks, Fine I said.. so later we get a call… he says that after they did the check around the car the break fluid thingy in the back wheel was toast and was leaking fluid. And that they thought it wasn’t safe for me or other drivers. So we asked what it was gonna cost to fix.. he says $436.25 with the drive clean and the oil change/check. So I’m thinking okay we need to get this done at our mechanics… that’s nuts. So we said we’d go ahead and get that work done at our other place. They call back to tell us that the guy that’s doing the drive clean wont until the breaks are done as he doesn’t want an accident on the dyno.  uuugh.. so we said fine.. and they did all the work. That makes it 4K we’ve spent on vehicle repairs this year. Our poor line of credit is certainly taking a beating.. but its nothing some careful budgeting can’t get through. As a result the trip I was planning with some great old friends that I made back in high school had to get canceled.

So we get home and the little guy wakes up – great timing… it feels like we’ve been feeding the little guy all day long.. finally at 9:50pm he gets enough food and passes out. omg – I am now sitting on my bed frantically typing so that I can close down and go to bed… soooo tired. I try to feed him so many times… but he just fusses – he really loves to be with Mommy. sigh.. It would be nice to give mom a break.. so I run around and try and do whatever I can to make it easier for her. I think we make a good team. I was able to give her some extra sleep this morning as a birthday gift. For those of you out there you can have un-interrupted sleep… take a moment when you ly in bed tonight and just soak it in… because it really is a precious thing.  Still the guy certainly is worth missing any amount of sleep.
