2 weeks at home
Well today Ayden has been home for 2 weeks already. the last few weeks have felt so much like a blur gone by. We have had so many visitors and also some doctors appointments that we had to go to with him, it just feels like it went so fast. I am really enjoying having Ayden home though.
So after the first two weeks there are a few things that I have learned.
1. SLEEP IS NO LONGER PART OF MY VOCABULARY…
2. AYDEN RULES THE HOUSE!!!
lol
Ayden seems to have his nights and days mixed up. He will sleep most of the day away, but then at night after you feed him he is wide awake!!! Big eyes looking around at everything. I know that you can try to switch their schedule by keeping them awake during the day so that they sleep at night, but it just seems like a lot of work right now.
Today is my first real day alone home with Ayden. Even though we have had him home for 2 weeks, there has always been someone around. Mark was unable to get the first week off work so my parents stayed with me during the day. then last week was great as Mark was home all week. It was really nice to get our family together and in the swing of things so to speak. So today is my first day at home alone with Ayden, and really it’s going well. He sleeps a lot during the day right now so I can relax a bit. I made myself some lunch, then I packed up Ayden as we had to go to the hospital pharmacy for some refills on some meds and now we are back home. Ayden is asleep in his car seat…he loves that thing!
I now have to tidy the kitchen and get his next bottle ready.
So all in all it’s been a pretty good day!!!
Mark and Lindsay you guys are awesome parents and it was absolutely fantastic to have a visit with you guys last week… Aunti Hipkip won some Leaf tickets so since Keith couldn’t go as he had a hockey practice gearing up for the Ontario Championship series (wow!), Kyle and I went to the game. Leafs won 3-2 in overtime and it was fun to be father and son together. You will have many, many outings with Ayden and will cherish each one more than the last. Being a parent is a wonderful thing whether they are are 6 pounds or 156 pounds!! Thanks for the updates and glad to hear everything is going so well!
