Well Ayden is still doing well. Tonight was bath and weigh night. Ayden is at 2252 grams (4 pounds 15.5 ounces), he is a half an ounce off of 5 pounds!!!
Ayden had another eye test today and it seems that his eyes are growing just great. No problems at all. He is also still on his low flow oxygen, they call it bubble oxygen. it’s just enough to help Ayden stabilize his oxygen and not swing so much.
I had a nice snuggle with him today. He loves his soother and was just enjoying it so much today. I gave him a kiss on the forehead before I left him for the day!
Yesterday Ayden had a few bradies (when his oxygen and heart rate drop), but has not had anything since 8:20 yesterday morning. Due to that, the doctors have decided to keep his food at the same level (40 mils) and to keep him on the low flow oxygen. his swinging is getting less and less which is a great thing.
So other then that, he is all tucked in for the night and sleeping soundly.
I can’t get over how quickly little Ayden is growing! Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful moments with us. Ayden you keep working like the trooper you are to get bigger and stronger!! In no time at all, we’ll be welcoming you home 🙂
Wow so close to 5lbs thats awesome way to go Ayden. At this rate by your original due date you might be an 8 or 9 lb baby. Your strength and determination to overcome all these obstacles that you have ploughed threw is an inspiration to all of us. Let God help you and protect all your life.
love Aunt Tory
Nice work A-Train! Glad to hear so much good news… One day at a time and when you get really hungry mom’s got 6 gallons of fresh milk for you! Why not sell that to the red cross for 10 bucks a jar and you’ll have enough for your university fund! (lol). Now seriously what is going to happen with all that stored milk. Mark was telling me that your whole garage is now full from floor to ceiling (just kidding!)
We are all so glad that your family is blessed with these good days and we thank you for taking the time to keep us all posted on Ayden’s progress.
Keep well, Matt…
