A Great Start To The Year…

So after a really nice relaxing New Years, which Lindsay and I really needed to spend together… I mean.. even when we’re home we really don’t get to spend time relaxing because there’s cleaning or unpacking or she’s pumping or something is always up so it really meant a lot to just sit on the couch together and ring in the new year like that… shortly into the night though… Daddy was bad and wouldn’t stop snoring… so I was banished to the couch… lucky for me we just got a new couch and OMG! it was an awesome sleep 😀

So we got up this morning and I thought “I wanna make some Waffles…” so we had breakfast and then Lindsay wanted to head up and see the little fella right off the bat.. so who am I to say no.. he he he I mean common he’s soooo cute. So off we went… So we got in to the hospital and again it was free parking day which was really nice…  if you consider that every time someone goes in and out of the parking it’s 15 bucks.

We got up to the floor and made our way into the ward… washed our hands like we do every time and then we made our way over to the incubator and saw our little boy sleeping on his back.. his little toes sticking out the end of his blanket – so right away we both race for the hand sanitizer to try and beat each other to his feet… they’re sooo soft.. lol Mom beat me to it.. sigh. But then as she always does Lindsay asked if I wanted to hold him. My answer has always been, “no it’s alright hon’ you hold him.” as I feel it’s important that she establishes a bond with the little fella. But today I said Yes!!!!  And got all settled in to hold him. The Nurse bundled him up and then placed him in my arms… Oh My God!!!! that was AWESOME!!!!!!!

Here’s some images that Mom caught of me…

Ahhhh what a great day it was with him.
