Sunday…
Hey Folks,
What a ride these past few days have been… I can safely say that Lindsay and I are totally drained. Man I really need another day off.. uugh. We started this weekend With a Funeral, Then Saturday night at 11 we headed up to St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener here, as Lindsay was in so much pain that not even two Tylenol 3’s could cut through the pain. We got to the Hospital and they gave Lindsay 7mils of Moriphene, and that didn’t work – so then that barely dented the pain… so they gave her something more potent than that.. I forget the name but two of those shots took care of things nicely. So 3am rolls around and she’s finally out of pain. It really broke my heart to see her tear filled eye’s look up at me begging to help her and there’s nothing I could do… yeah that was rough… So they told me that she’s gonna stay the night and in the morning go for an ultrasound. So I headed home.
9am rolled around – I got up and headed back to the hospital… I got there in time to see her head for an ultrasound.. luckily my Mom works at St. Mary’s literally at the desk outside Lindsay’s pod. So she was there early to check in on her. The Ultrasound came back and there was a 1.8 cm gall stone in her gallbladder. Turns out the surgeon that will perform the procedure was there in the ER at the time so he gave her the run down – some time after the holidays She’ll have her gallbladder out.
Now – through this all Ayden has been doing awesome – the little guy knows that Mom and Dad can’t be worried about him right now – so he’s been having a good few days for us. Yup all his levels have been normal.. he’s had the odd little bump along the way, but nothing our little fella can’t handle.
So now mommy is on the comfy chair – under a downy blanket and I think I can hear the sublt hint of some snores.. 😉
cheers

Hey Lindsay,
I’ve been there. I had my gall bladder out just b4 Zoe’s 2nd birthday. I had been having attacks (not as bad as yours) since I was pregnant with her, but they couldn’t see the stones. It’s a little scary but there’s nothing to the Laparoscopic (spelling?) surgery and it is a HUGE relief to not worry about attacks. Feel better!!
