Movin’ On Up…

Ayden The Super Hero

And just like the theme song – we’re back on the way up… wow – I mean they told us that there would be up’s and downs but – yeesh these are some ups and downs.

So this morning since I had the day off, for the passing of Stella Koop, (my sister-in-law Cindy’s mom) we thought we’d head on up early in the day to see Ayden. And am I ever glad that I did! I got to play with his feet, he would kick out at my hands or push off of my fingers… I played the “this little piggy” song on his toes.. and they are sooooo cute. I have to say – I am rather proud of the little fella, if I do say so myself.

Not to worry though I did let Linday in there for at least a few seconds…. (wink) So lets get to the real updates shall we…

The Good:

• Ayden is now 1040grams
• Ayden is now eating 11 mils of breast milk over an hour and a half. then he gets a half hour to digest and they start again.
• Ayden is on Antibiotics

The Not So Good

• Ayden has an E. Coli infection, and is on Antibiotics.
• Ayden is still swinging… his oxygen level in his blood bounces from 100% to 90 then it’ll drop to 80 then down to 64% and then it’ll head back up…
  (it should be between 80 and 95 then the alarm doesn’t sound.)
• Ayden’s oxygen in his CPAP ( the hose in his nose) is at 40%

So there you have it… I had a great time with him. Despite the sad circumstances that I had the day off for.
