December 1 update – 19 days old today!!!!

Today I went and saw Ayden while Mark was working. It was a rather nice drive in to Hamilton, had my country music going!!!

Ayden is doing well again today.  He is still swinging with his oxygen, but he seemed so happy and comforatble! I spoke to a doctor today that told me the fluid taken last week when they did the spinal tap did not show any infections!!!! Great News!!!!

I asked to hold Ayden again today, as I have only done this once so far, but the nurses were too busy. On one hand, I completly understand and even being there was really hectic, but on the other, I really want to hold my son….I did hold his hand a lot today, and his little toes…I even played this little piggy on him….LOL…I talked to him about how he needs to grow up big and strong for us…I think he was listening as we were just told that his weight has increased to 832 grams!!!!  WOO HOO he is past his birth weight!!!

I spent a good two hours at the hospital today and it was really nice. I was also able to help with handling time (which in turn made the non-holding him a bit easier). I changed his diaper again, and held him in my outstreched hands while the nurse changed his bedding…He has not had any spells today other then 2am this morning!!!

Another good day under our belts.
