New roommate…

Well, being in the hospital, I don’t have coverage for a private or semi-private room so I am in a regular ward room that is covered by OHIP. This means that there are 4 beds to the room, one bathroom and people come and go all the time.  When I arrived here on thrusday last week, there was another lady already in the room, so i was patient number two. On friday another patient came to this room so there were three of us….Slowly the other two patients were discharged and allowed to go home. I was then granted a window bed rather then the bed by the door and the hallway, so much better as I am hoping to be a long term patient here. I have had the luxury of having this room to myself for the past few days. It was like being in a four bed private room. No other patients at all. Well just now another patient arrived. It’s a strange feeling to know that someone else is in the room with you. I wonder what her story is…from what  I have heard she has just had some sort of surgery….She is at the other side of the room where the other window is, so I can only assume she will be here for a few days. window areas are kept for longer term patients.  See, interesting things do happen here!!!
