My Observations of Life, & The Fruition of Things…
So yesterday we decided to go to church… I personally haven’t been to a mass that wasn’t where someones baby was involved or a wedding in… hmmm well, a very long time. I was raised a Catholic, went to catholic schools till highschool. In all that time they had us read the bible and learn about GOD. So far as to send us to a retreat in grade 8. Mount Mary I believe it was called. Then I went through highschool… and moved on to college. Perhaps it’s having an artists sight. That did it to me… opened my mind to the infinite of possibility. But there was an underlying logic that I have within me that made me think… hey there are a lot of things they’re telling me that just don’t match up. For one a persons...
Sunday November 23 visit
Well today I went up to the hospital while Mark stayed at home and packed for our move on Friday. to ensure that I was not walking into a bad news situation alone, we called the hospital before hand so that we would know the status of things. Ayden is doing well again today. No changes from yesterday. He is still doing what they call “swinging” with his oxygen. Swinging means that he is not staying at one rate, he is fluctuating. I asked the nurse if there was a “normal” rate for oxygen levels and heart rate at this age of baby, and the nurse assured me that there is not a normal, basically it’s individual for each child. Right now Ayden is calling the shots on his oxygen levels! On Friday, Ayden weighed in at 760 grams and as of...
The One I Love
This song has been Lindsay’s favorite since I posted it on a video I took of one of our Ultrasounds. David Gray: The One I Love
Updates from Mom
well, what an amazing couple of days we have had. Ayden has been doing really well. As you have read in the last couple of posts from Dad that they have up’d his feedings…even today they are trying to feed 3 milliliters every 2 hours to see how our little button tolerates the milk. So far, so good! One of the hardest things as a new mom is not being able to hold or even touch your child. I did hold Ayden’s hand on the day he was born, but since then Mark and I have not touched him as we want to be as careful as possible (germs and also his skin is so fragile we don’t want to nick it by accident…) the other day however, I could not help it. The nurse kind of gave me the go ahead to open the doors on the incubator and touch him. Well,...
Ayden On YouTube
Well what father wouldn’t be proud of the fact that his son is more popular than he is.. lol well here’s Ayden on YouTube.
Coincidence?? who knows…
So the days that i had to come back from McMaster the first time and then again the day I drove back from seeing Ayden for the first time… This song was on the radio I specifically recall hearing it so is it a coincidence or was someone upstairs tryin’ to tell me something??? you decide…
Saturday’s Visit Nov 22nd
I’m just settling into my seat here in the cozy living room of my home. What a winter wonderland we’ve come through. But it was worth it. Mom is upstairs pumping right now… or milkin’ as I like to say. lol So what happened today.. well today we spent the most amount of time with him. We arrived at the hospital and picked up another 14 parking pass… $32 bucks. But if you consider two visits is 30 then this pass is awesome. We also used one of our gas cards to load up before we left. Thanks to gas prices being down at a lovily 74.6 here in KW it only cost us 26.50 to fill the SUV from 1/4 of a tank. Nice indeed. We got into the ward by 2:05pm this afternoon. And stayed till 5 I think… usually when we go Lindsay has to pump so...
