Not worried anymore
Well Little one, you certainly know when you want or don’t want something. when you were in the hospital and you didn’t want your Cpap on anymore you took it off yourself…and now you are telling us loud and clear that you no longer like this icky formula and bottle and you want real food! We have been trying for weeks to feed you formula though your bottle, but you kept fighting us. You would cry, turn your head away, close your mouth and all around fuss when we tried to get you to take it. At first we thought that maybe due to your teething you just were sore and it hurt to eat…but then we tried to give you formula other ways too and you wouldn’t take it. You love eating solids but can’t get you to take the bottle...
Project Blog is Almost Done!
Well we’re now in the final stretch! It was my intention when I started this to log the first year of Ayden’s life. Its been a crazy road. And it’s really really weird to be near the one year mark for him. He’s doing so well, yet has a long way to go yet. What New Things are Happening: Ayden Talk: The little fella has developed his own form of communication – made up of a series of grunts and coo’s. There have been times when he’s said actual words but I don’t think they count as he really didn’t know what he was saying. I’ve heard “hey Dadda” come out on one occasion. He’s got his ga’ and da’s down pat, as was as some ma and mo sounds and a ba sound as well. Feedings Well...
Ayden’s first Halloween!
Well today is Ayden’s first Halloween. It’s been a rather hard day as days go. We have figured out that Ayden does not like taking any fluids whatsoever from the bottle…So off we went to Babies r us and we bought about 4 or 5 different kinds of sippy/feeding cups…we will have to try them to see what works. Ayden loves his solid food, but not so much with the liquids….very strange as he used to LOVE his bottle until a few weeks ago…now as soon as you show it to him, he cries and turns his head away… In any event, since the weather here is cold and windy we will not be going out for Halloween with the little guy, but we did dress him up and took some pictures! enjoy!
Stressed with weight…
Well little one. YOu have mommy really stressed right now. You will not take your bottle anymore with the formula in it. every feed is a fight for mommy to get some food into you. Normally you take about 120 mils or just over 4 ounces, but lately you have dropped your intake to about 2.5 ounces. I took you to to the doctor today and you have lost a little weight too. I am so worried about you and very stressed. I try my best to remain calm at feeding times so you don’t associate that with stress, but you make it very hard for mommy. You fight me every bottle. I started to keep an eating journal so that when I talk to the doctors I would have some written info for them and you are really not feeding very well. For some reason, I think that it’s a...
