Ayden's Baptism!
Well today marks a big step in Ayden’s life. Today, Sunday July 19, 2009 Ayden was Baptised at Calvin Presbyterian Church in Kitchener. This is the same church that Mark and I were married at! We had such a wonderful service filled with friends and family. Ayden was extremly well behaved during the service. When he was in Minister Mark’s arms being baptised he just stared at Minister Mark with such caring and curious eyes. There was a part in the prayer that really stuck out in my mind…when the Minister was holding Ayden, he said something to the effect of…we are so blessed to have you here with us. Since all that Ayden and our family has been though, this brought a tear to my eye.
Mark and I spent the last two days getting ready for this big day as after the service we had the family back to our house for a bbq chicken lunch (thank you Grampy and Grammy for the chicken, Oma and Opa for the potato salad and the veggie tray and for Aunt Bec for the salad!). We had to clean and de-clutter the house..omg what a chore that was!!!. We had a rock moved from the backyard to the front yard and we built a garden around it. We had to do shopping for the bbq, and we tried to find a nice outfit for Ayden at the store…which we didn’t end up finding at the store but did find in his own clothes!
The service was very relaxed and Ayden was just being his happy self! Mark and I also joined the church on this day as well and it was nice that the three of us got to share this together.
In attendance were:
Mark, Lindsay and Ayden Wilhelm (of course!)
Ron and Lyli Bingham (Grampy and Grammy)
Susan and Norbert Kranz (Oma and Opa)
Jim and Beverly Wilhelm (Grandpa and Grandma Wilhelm)
Aunt Tory, Uncle Andy, Iris

Uncle Scott, Aunt Jen, Nathan, Ella
