spitting and throwing up…

So today was a very strange day. Ayden woke up early…like 6 am when normally he sleeps until 8ish. I fed him and after that he kept spitting up…but then it went into a almost throw up…Mark managed to put him to sleep for a while (for the first time I might add!!!  GO dad!!!). When Ayden woke up, he spit up again and again. After a bit of time, he got hungry as his tummy was empty so again I fed him, but right after wards he spit up all his food. Mark and I could not figure it out…I think we both went through like 4 tee shirts between the both of us…bibs like crazy and also washcloths….

We went out this afternoon and Ayden was good, no real spit up happenings, but then we brought him home and low and behold he started to throw up. Mark said he could feel Ayden’s tummy spasm and then the half digested formula came back up….

I got to thinking that it’s been 5 days since the little guy has had a poop…I wondered if since his bowels might be backed up he could not take any more formula in…and he was really gassy to so we decided to give him a suppository and within like 30 seconds after I gave it, everything came out.  Kinda gross, but I checked the poop for any hard bits or blood and it was all clear for that. Ayden also did not have a temperature….

We also think that his schedule has been WAY off for the last two days. Normally Ayden gets up at 8am and feeds right away. He will play until 10 when he has a nap. Then he gets up at noon for antohter feed, plays until 2ish and goes for another nap. Well the last two days he has MISSeD his naps as we have been out of the house visiting and what not….

So I think with missing his naps and his schedule being all messed up and his lack of pooping might have made his tummy upset.

After he had his poop tonight I fed him again and no spit up this time…

Only time will tell (tomorrow) to see if the spit up continues. If it does I will have to make an appointment with the doc…oh imporant thing to note. When Ayden and I went to see the doctor a week ago, he suggested to stop the tummy meds that Ayden was on to control the reflux. Now so far (aside from today) Ayden was handing this very well and I did not notice any changes…I will have to monitor his spit ups to see if this is just due to schedule and poops or if it is med related.

well its 10:13pm. Ayden has been alseep for about an hour and I have laundry going as we went through a lot of clothing today. I am going to head up to bed now as it’s been a long long long day.

I hope the little guy feels better tomorrow….
