Prayer Angels

So the other day I went down the mailbox, and inside was a little key – the key said that I had a package in another larger mail box.. so I used that key to open the larger door. Inside that was a small box… on that box was a card… here’s what it said…

“Mark & Lindsay

Sorry this is arriving late.
One of Ayden’s prayer angels (Lynn B.) is a paeds nurse
in Amsterdam, and it took longer to get the pacifier.
The pacifier we have included (The preemie one) is Difrax.
These are used by all children’s hospitals in the Netherlands.
The reason they are not available in North America is because the
US/Canada health model is not exactly welcoming on buying
pacifiers that are $25 a piece. Lynne swears by these and wanted
Ayden to have the cutest one (based on U.K character “Miffy”).
As you can see, the paci is based on “gestational age”. Ayden I am
guessing is at -1, “according to Lynne. We also included some great
Mam pacifiers from England. Our prayer warrior Michele R. had the onesie
and beanie cap made special for Ayden.

We pray you have a wonderful holiday season and that Little Fire keeps
firing on all cylinders.

God Bless!”

Here’s what was in the box:

I can’t even think what to say… wow! These people just reached out and sent this to him and they don’t even know us! I’m guessing Michelle R is the Michelle I worked with at my previous job before Moxy Media. and how she got all these people to pray for my little boy… I’ll never be able to thank you enough. All of you who are supporting us. With each day he grows stronger and stronger.. and before you know it.. he’s gonna be here at home. Thank you thank you thank you – everyone.

In other news…

I started getting ready for his arrival here and here are some starting images of his room…

after the two coats of paint, I decided that was good enough and started in on the leaves…

This Rainforest Line of products from Fisher Price is how I wanna decorate his room. I love the style of this and think it’ll really be good to help get that imagination working.

So cool. Kind of awe inspiring- that strangers across the world have so much love to share. Thanks, Ayden, for helping me remember how amazingly generous the human spirit can be. And for showing us how strong your spirit is. Love ya, little (big) man!

Uncle Heyhot!! The website looks awesome and wow what a great gift from across the ocean! This is a really cool thing to see this blog you have going on and the high technology that you are able to use. Like how you can set up a website, do a blog, import pictures and then change the whole thing around when you feel like it… Definitely reminds me that I am not as young as I used to be. But the world keeps on changing and spinning and with each day Ayden is getting stronger and Cindy’s here saying “the A-Train is on the right track and picking up speed!!”

God bless, keep praying and we’re all really proud of your leadership, capabilities and love for your son. A wise man once said, ” God will only give you what you can handle” A saying on my wall at home says, “Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadows”… There is a lot of sunshine in your lives and your adventure is reminding all of us who read your blog daily how important it is to be supportive of others and thankful for the blessings bestowed on us…

    Until next time, Matt…
