ONE YEAR OLD!!!!
Well little man…we did it…You managed to overcome all the odds and you made it to your first birthday…You are such a wonderful little boy. All the things you have been through over the past year can now be put to rest. You are growing up! You are developing! You are getting quite a personality and you are the love of my life…well aside from your daddy!
Today Daddy went to get you from your crib when you woke up…I heard him sing the Happy birthday song to you while he was picking you up…You have no idea how much this means to both of us. After we brought you downstairs, you played on the floor for a bit and then Daddy helped me feed you. While we fed you breakfast we both sang Happy Birthday to you together…although Mommy could not sing the whole thing….but daddy took over for me. Then daddy went off to work. You and mommy spent the day together…lot of playing and singing too. We couldn’t wait for daddy to come home and spend time with us as well. We all went out for dinner tonight as this is a celebration of your birthday but it also means something for mommy and daddy too…We had swiss chalet and it was so yummy.
you are starting to teeth again so you got a bit fussy in the restaurant, but mommy gave you an ice cube and that seemed to help.
When we got home you played on mommy for a bit and then while I got your dinner ready daddy played with you too. You had what seemed to be a nice meal, but in the middle of it, nature called and you pushed too hard and the food came back up! LOL…After cleaning you up and re-feeding you, you went to sleep right away. It was a very busy day for you today.
This weekend will be lots of fun. Tomorrow we are having family and friends come by to wish you happy birthday. I bet we are going to have a great time!
I love you Ayden, more then you will ever know. This time in your life brings back a lot of memories for me as your mom of the day you were born but also of our time in the hospital and all the wonderful things you have accomplished over the past year. You amaze me each and every moment.
I Know the next year and years to come of your life will be filled with joy and love.

Well muskrat, you did it. You survived for a whole YEAR! something many can’t say they’ve done. in-fact there was another baby at the hospital when you were in there that didn’t make it. But you did – you beat the odds.
I think your amazing… I can’t get enough of you little guy. They’ve called you A-train, Ayden, WilhelmBoy, but I call you my little hero. Don’t let anything in this world stop you. You’re just brimming with potential!!! I couldn’t be a prouder Dad.
